In the Ötztal Valley, cyclists of all skill levels can embark on exciting adventures! Whether it's a road bike or mountain bike tour, an adrenaline-pumping singletrack, or a leisurely bike day with the family, whether it's powered by your own strength or a little "boost" from an E-bike, there are routes that lead from paved roads in the valley to forest and gravel paths, and even to the steepest trails for downhill enthusiasts, spanning nearly 700 kilometers of trails in total. For many enjoyable routes, the mountain railways and lifts serve as "assistance" to help with ascents.
E-Bike Tour ENJOY
The family-friendly route is perfect for exploring the surroundings of Oetz.
Starting from the central parking lot in Oetz, we ride along the river Ache and then turn right into the forest towards Lake Piburg. Here, we follow the forest road until we reach the junction for Lake Piburg. The short but steep ascent demands some effort from bikers, but the view at Lakejöchl rewards the effort. From there, we continue on a forest road to Haderlehn and further to Sautens. From Sautens, we follow the Ötztal cycle path back to Oetz. The tour can be extended individually in consultation with the bike guide.

E-Bike-Tour ACTIVE
On this tour, we pass through ancient landslides, idyllic mountain villages, and beautiful landscapes.
The starting point of this bike tour is the Mure parking lot in Umhausen. From there, we follow the Ötztal cycle path (No. 11) to the bridge on the Ötztal federal road leading to Köfels. We choose the uphill path towards Köfels and follow the asphalt road with a moderate incline. After a short while, we ride through the area of an ancient landslide known as the "Köfler Bergsturz." After passing through the small, idyllic village of Köfels at 1,400 meters, the signposted forest road to Wurzberg Alm begins on the left. The inclines on the wide gravel road are partly easy to ride, allowing for a relaxed stop at the alm, located at 1,575 meters. From there, we continue downhill on the forest road towards Winklen in Längenfeld. Then, we ride the Ötztal cycle path (No. 11) back to Umhausen and return to Oetz.
